Alice: Madness Returns — Fan Art

A personal fan art project inspired by Alice: Madness Returns, exploring its unsettling atmosphere through my own visual interpretation.

For this piece, I focused on composition, storytelling, and dramatic lighting, using exaggerated proportions and puppet-like forms to create a sense of control, vulnerability, and unease.

The process started with an initial concept and composition sketch, followed by a lighting study to establish the main values and focal points. For the final color palette, I worked primarily with muted blue-green tones, introducing warmer accents around the central figures to guide the eye through the composition.

One of my main goals was to preserve the eerie, theatrical quality of the Alice: Madness Returns universe while bringing my own character design and painting approach into it.
